5 Recipes You Can Make In 5 Minutes


Cooking can be complicated task for some people. Like me and you; if you started practicing cooking recently. 
Whether you are single or on your own, cooking is an invaluable skill to have.
Most recipe sites assume you have a basic level of understanding how to cook. But for the absolute beginner, things need to be even simpler, like what these five recipes offer.


Microwave 5-Minute Mac 'N' Cheese

Ingredients:
(For 1 serving)
•    ½ cup elbow macaroni(50 g)
•    ½ cup water (120 mL)
•    3 tablespoons milk
•    salt, to taste
•    pepper, to taste
•    ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese (25 g)
•    fresh chives, to garnish, (optional)


Preparation:
1.    Mix the macaroni, water, and salt in a microwaveable mug.
2.    Microwave for 2-3 minutes, then stir.
3.    Add the milk, cheese, salt, and pepper, then stir.
4.    Microwave for another 30 seconds, stir, and garnish with a sprinkle of chives.
5.    Enjoy!

Microwave 5-Minute Cheesecake

 
Ingredients:
(For 1 serving)
•    1 tablespoon butter
•    2 sheets graham cracker
•    4 oz cream cheese, softened (115 g)
•    2 tablespoons sugar
•    3 drops vanilla extract
•    5 fresh strawberry or raspberries, for serving

Preparation:
•    Melt the butter in a small microwaveable pot. Tilt the pot to coat the sides.
•    Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs, then add to the pot with the butter and mix well. With a spoon, press the crust evenly against the bottom of the dish.
•    In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla, stirring until there are no lumps.
•    Spread the filling on top of the graham cracker crust.
•    Microwave for at least 4 minutes, 45 seconds at a time, at half power. Make sure the cheesecake does not bubble over the sides of the pot.
•    Chill in the freezer for at least 30 minutes, until completely cool to the touch.
•    With a knife, loosen the edges of the cheesecake, then invert onto a plate, or eat straight from the dish.
•    Top with a few raspberries.
•    Enjoy!

Microwave 5-Minute Omelet in a mug (Easy Breakfast)


Ingredients: 
(For 1 serving)
•    Handful (1–2 cups) fresh spinach
•    2 eggs
•    2 tablespoons milk
•    2 tablespoons cheddar cheese
•    1 chopped green onion


Preparation:

•    Microwave the spinach in your mug (sprinkle about a tablespoon of water over it so it can steam) for about 30 seconds.
•    Crack eggs into the mug, add 2 tablespoons of milk, and whisk everything together.
•    Add cheese.
•    Microwave in 45-second increments until the eggs are cooked through.
•    Chop up some green onions to add to the top.

 

Mug granola (Healthy Snack)

Many granolas and granola bars are packed with added sugars and sneak in hydrogenated oils (e.g., Tran’s fats). And that stuff stays with you. A diet that includes a lot of Tran’s fats increases your risk of heart disease, according to a lot of researches.

Enjoy a healthy recipe of your favorite granola that you know exactly what’s going in it and you can prepare it in 5 minutes.

Ingredients:

(For 1 serving)

  • 1⁄3 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1⁄3 cup nuts
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons oil (coconut oil adds depth and flavor, but any oil will work)
  • 2 teaspoons water

 

Preparation:

  1. Place oats and your favorite nuts (cashews are great here) into a mug.
  2. Mix in maple syrup, oil, and water.
  3. Microwave on medium power (50%) for two minutes.
  4. Continue microwaving on medium in 30-second intervals until oats are golden brown.
  5. Let cool fully before eating.

Dessert: Mug brownie

This mug brownie is an easy way to satisfy your sweet tooth in in less than 5 minutes.

Ingredients: 
(For 1 serving)
•    ¼ cup flour
•    ¼ cup light brown sugar
•    2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
•    2 tablespoons unsalted butter
•    ¼ cup milk or nondairy alternative of your choosing (all will work!)
Preparation:
1.    Mix flour, brown sugar, and unsweetened cocoa powder in the mug.
2.    Add melted butter and milk, and stir until blended.
3.    Wipe down the rim to prevent burning and microwave for one minute.
4.    Continue to microwave in 30-second increments until the consistency is to your liking.
5.    Let the mixture sit for one minute before devouring.
